In this unit, the importance is given to tests and assessment evaluation. There is a clear explanation of different assessments and test to help understand the variety of skills and knowledge of foreign students. It is very important to have a placement test in our schools, since it will allow us to place students in their level of language knowledge. Progress tests are very important too, since they will show how the students are retaining the information taught in their course. Preparing students for external assessments and examinations mostly has been done by practice or benchmark tests.This unit was challenging. Depending on the verbs chosen, you could mistake the tense. My example is from question 14. I almost thought it was \"Be Going + Inf.\" I was glad when I read the sentence again. It might be challenging for students to be able to learn exactly when each tense is used. I like the idea of the teaching ideas. Some ideas like \"fortune telling\" and \"getting out of going on a bad date\" seem like they could be fun for certain age groups. This will not be easy teach by reviewing some of the common errors. I hope to find some good clarity to give students upon studying.
