There are two different types of material the teacher can use. Authentic material include, programs, newspapers, songs, films, and other day to day materials. Authentic materials are generally more interesting and motive the students to learn as these are things they will come across when in an English speaking country. Created materials are also useful for building vocabulary and and grammar skills. There are advantages and disadvantages to using a course book. If the teacher chooses to use a course book it is important to remain flexible and supplement the book to keep the students interested.
