Unit 10: In studying the videos for Unit 10, I learned that the teachers attitude has a profound impact upon the effectiveness of a lesson. In the first video the teacher talked fast, didn't smile, and didn't explain the lesson. The behavior of the teacher caused the students confusion and learning was diminished. In the second lesson, the teacher smiled the entire time, used mime, and talked slow and clearly. The teacher created an instant rapport with the class by asking their names. A comfortable learning atmosphere was created by the teacher by being aware of how his attitude impacts learning.
