This unit focused on explaining the different forms of the past tense. Like with the present tense it was really good at explaining the different forms in detail with a lot of examples. It provided a representation of a structure that I could use for my own students when trying to teach the past tense. Again, it is interesting for me as a native English speaker to understand the grammar rules of my own language. The only aspect of grammar that I am concerned about is remembering all these rules myself and then being able to explain them to my students as well as help them memorise all of the irregular verbs.
