This unit covered Teaching New Language. It offered specific ESA lesson plans and suggestions for teaching vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions and addressed the varying approaches necessary for students of differing language levels. I appreciated the practical approaches to teaching and reinforcing lesson such as these, some of which I imagine could prove challenging to language students. Seeing the straight-arrow, patchwork and boomerang ESA lesson plans with detailed content as they applied to teaching vocabulary, grammar and language functions will certainly be valuable in the classroom.
