A lot of different teaching aids can be used in class in order to make lessons more effective and more interesting (a board, dictionaries, DVDs and many others). The important thing is to use them correctly and to always have an organised plan on how to use them and their purpose. Two teaching aids I sometimes like to use are DVDs (films) and videos found on youtube. I find that students enjoy them very much and they are surely helpful to present new language, to make students give descriptions and summaries and also to familiarize with different accents. A negative aspect is that it can be difficult to find level appropriate material.
