I found this unit helped to stimulate my imagination in what further tools and equipment I might use in my ESL classrooms. For instance, I had never before considered using recording devices to help give my students feedback. However, upon reflection, I think this would be a valuable addition? particularly when trying to teach students some sort of difficult pronunciation. Sometimes, I suspect, they are trying so hard to get the pronunciation right that they don't accurately hear the sounds that their mouths are producing. The use of audio or visual recording might help them to better analyze and correct the sounds they make, and (in the case of visual recording) the shapes of their mouths.
