Learning grammar is difficult to understand for the students. but in the end the teachers are going to teach the grammar so that we need to aware of the rules of grammar. A basic sentence consists of at least a subject or verb but it can be more words than this such as noun,the definite article, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, relative etc. Also we need to define every part of words. To give an example, furniture is noun but we cannot count it so it is uncountable noun and we cannot make a sentence like she has a few furniture in her living room. It would be awkward.
In conclusion, teachers are not a walking grammar reference book but they had better know the structure of the grammar.
