This unit talks about the main components of a lesson plan, such as learning objectives, language point, procedures, and phase. The big take-away from this unit for me is flexibility is key in lesson planning. Therefore, keeping the lesson plan simple allows room for flexibility. Another point that I had not considered very much prior to reading this unit is that the lesson plan serves as a springboard for reflection after the lesson. The teacher will be able to reflect on and address questions such as were learning objectives reached, what went well, what didn't go well, and what can I do to improve student learning outcome as well as what can I do to improve my teaching in this particular lesson.
