The two productive skills are reading and writing. Writing is often neglected and often passed onto a homework activity (which are rarely completed) due to a longer time needed to notice and correct any patterns as opposed to speaking which can be cleared up on the spot. This module taught me that making the lesson purpose clear to the students before learning is a great way to get students motivated and in the game. The distinctions between accuracy and fluency were made clear and it's important to involve both controlled and creative methods by both the students and the teacher to achieve a greater learning response. Games have many benefits when it comes to the class room if used in the relevant way.
