This unit covers mainly teaching productive skills, speaking and writing, including games. It clearly explains the difference between activities, such as accuracy and fluency activities and gives suggestions how to encourage interaction between students which I found very useful. I especially liked the clear guidelines for creative speaking activity that were given in the unit. Also very useful is the list of games in the end of the unit.This unit taught the importance of receptive and productive skills in learners. It talked about the differences in reading, like reading for purpose for details, or using skimming skills to quickly get information. The unit also taught the importance of selecting texts based on the skills of students but also on the purpose for reading. In the last part of the unit, I learned about how a lesson plan for teaching receptive skills could go.
