It was confusing to learn that writing is the most neglected skill in the TEFL world. The reasons that the text gives on why it is the most neglected - quiet time and homework - aren't confusing, it is the fact that these productive skills are suppose to be as important as the next. Meaning each skill should be given the equal amounts of time throughout the course. Knowing this skill is the most neglected, I'm going to be mindful and look to incorporate writing into my lessons so that is receives as much attention as the others. Depending on the skills of the student, incorporating writing may be difficult and limited, which will have to be taken into consideration when planning a writing activity/lesson.
