In this unit, it provides an overview of how lessons may be conducted based on either teaching vocabulary, grammar or language functions and provides an example of how they may be best used in teaching these aspects of the english language to the learners effectively. With regards to vocab, the unit provides an overview of the arrow approach to teaching this topic with aspects such as providing images to elicit the word from the learner. With the aspects of grammar, the lesson is best approached with the patchwork lesson, where kids can look at a movie synopsis and identify a pattern with grammar. Lastly the boomerang approach is used with the learning of new language functions in agreeing and disagreeing, etc.
