This unit was about conditionals and reported speech. It had helpful graphs and examples to explain the different forms and usage of conditionals, as well as changes from direct to reported speech.
I learned the importance of teaching reported speech and conditionals slowly. The students must understand these concepts well because the whole meaning of the sentence can change with slightly different wording or putting it in different context. For example, when reporting \"She said 'I love you'\", knowing the recipient of the \"I love you\" will change the pronoun used to report it. Another example would be knowing when to use \"would\" instead of \"should\" or \"if\" instead of \"when\" with conditionals, based on the context.
