This unit covered the productive skills: speaking and writing, as well as the application of games for language teaching. This lesson makes a clear distinction between accuracy-based activities and fluency-based activities. Furthermore, this lesson emphasizes the need for both. I look forward to taking a balanced approach which includes both kinds of activities in my own teaching. This unit will also prove helpful in expanding the variety of games which I can readily put to use in the classroom. In the past, I have attempted to develop games on my own which proved too complex for use in the classroom, so I am reminded to keep my games simple; using common, popular games which are already in existence can help me to achieve this.
