The unit covers several grammar points which are very useful in everyday life, such as modal verbs, passive and active voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs. Both form and usage are presented and illustrated with relevant examples. Present and past tenses are taken into account when introducing the modal verbs. As in other units, a few teaching ideas are described in order to facilitate the preparation of a lesson with one of these topics. Relative clauses are discussed with a clearly explained distinction between defining and non-defining relative clauses. As for the phrasal verbs, it was the teaching idea of choosing a particular subject and going through relevant phrasal verbs that caught my attention. In a nutshell, grammar topics presented well in a compact way.
