Unit 5 focuses on classroom management. It teaches how to use eye contact, voice, gestures and student names in an effective manner. It tells the pros and cons of various classroom groupings. It explains how to correctly arrange the classroom and write on the board, as well as, how to give instructions, establish rapport and maintain classroom discipline. It also explains how to effectively give the students attention and how to diminish TTT while still realizing its importance. I feel and think I learnt strategies on how to control the class such as never losing my temper and not saying things I won't follow through on. I also found the section on how to give effective instructions useful especially the information on being consistent and using the same instructions each time.
