Attitude is one of the key elements when going to teach a lesson. The attitude of the teacher can influence greatly the outcome of the lesson, as it will influence directly how responsive the students are. If the teacher walks in with a bad attitude: feeling superior, moody, indifferent, sarcastic; the students will respond in kind and not participate actively in the lesson. On the other hand, if the teacher shows up ready to engage them, acting more approachable and treating them in a kind way that will encourage them to participate, their response will be better. Furthermore, it is important to be able to read the students and recognise when they don't understand the lesson, as to be able to elaborate and explain differently, in one such way that will help them understand.
