It is often said that planning a good lesson makes for a successful class. Though more experienced teachers will prefer facing the reality at the moment, we as ESL teachers may find it difficult attaining our lesson objectives if we didn't quite plan for it ahead of time. This unit clearly outlines some of the importance of lesson planning which starts from the lesson content to evaluation thus achieving the goals set at the beginning of the lesson. It however, tackles the issue of time, ages and level of students involved as well as their specific needs which are all fundamental for any successful lesson. The usefulness of this unit therefore lies in the inevitability of lesson planning. Almost every successful ESL teacher have relied on lesson planning. So why wouldn't I rely on it as well?
