The unit gave insight in teaching a for the students new language. I learned from the lessons that we usually use a different ESA structure, depending on the targets of the lesson. I also learned that it is more easy for me to master the English language, since it's very similair to my own native language. When I am teaching students in Asia, the students will have a harder time learning new vocabulary. This is something I will bear in mind when preparing a lesson plan for my Vietnamese students. I also learned how I can select new vocabulary for my class. I found it very interesting to read that it is important to keep the frequency and coverage in mind. For the students to notice that they come across the taught lessons, outside of the lessons, is likely to improve their motivation for the classes.
