This lesson was informative in establishing the needed lexicon for understanding the language used in differentiating the differences between reading and listening skills, opposed to speaking and writing skills. The focus of this lesson was primarily on receptive skills, and offered an outline of how as a instructor, I may best go about helping my students develop these skills. For me personally the hallmark of the lesson was the importance of developing an interest within the students. It reminded me the importance of not only bringing my expertise to the table, but also looking to the students for help in helping to create lessons that will best encourage learning of the English language. Compared to many lessons, I actually liked this one. I also appreciated the common theme of reinforcing the concepts of ESA.
