Unit 15 looks at the reasons why students are evaluated and the types of tests administered. Although some may not agree in with testing, test results can help personalize the class. Placement and diagnostic tests are used prior to or at the beginning of a course to determine the students? knowledge of English. This way the students can be but in the proper level and the syllabus can be tailored to gaps in their knowledge.
