This lesson goes over teaching theories, methods, and techniques. I learned that the ESA method gives teachers flexibility and would be more appropriate for me as a new teacher. I learned that the ESA method can be used in many different sequences as long as you start with engage and end with activate. I learned some different ways of obtaining feedback and that there are many student factors to consider when trying to find the appropriate method of obtaining feedback.I've learned about methods and techniques. There are Grammar-translation, audio - lingualism, PPP, Task-Based learning, CLT, CLL, The silent way, Suggestopaedia, The lexical approach methods. Each methods have its pros and cons.
An effective method for motivating students and making them use is 'ESA'- Engage, Study and Activate. Elicitation is absolutely useful component of the ESA process.
There are three types of ESA : 'Straight Arrow', 'Boomerang' and 'Patchwork'.
