This unit covers the productive skills writing and speaking. For these two skills, accuracy and fluency are of great importance. While accuracy should be controlled, accurate language is not as important as fluent speaking when promoting fluency. Therefore fluency activities should not be too controlled but allow students to produce language on their own. For these reasons, accuracy is suitable for the study phase, while fluency for the activate phase of an ESA lesson.This unit was a great review of things learned long ago. From the main types of nouns to countable and uncountable nouns the unit provided nice examples. This along with the details on adjectives, verbs, adverbs, pronouns and so on really brought back a name and a reason for doing the things that just come natural. For example, I know when to use playing or buying or selling but if someone said to me what is a gerund I would have been thinking, uh.....what is a gerund?
