Again this unit does a good job of explaining things that come intuitively to English speakers that we likely wouldn't have been able to put a label on before. There are a lot of nitty gritty topics covered here that would definitely be hard to learn as a non-native english speaker. As mentioned in the unit, it's important to slip some examples of these topics into conversation before they're actually taught so the students can get an idea of how and when they are used.Unit 7 was very fun. I definitely enjoyed doing the worksheet. This lesson taught me how to introduce vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions to the students. I felt challenged to come up with ideas for a typical ESA lesson for each phase presented in the unit. It is important to make the right decision when teaching, especially with beginner students, and take into consideration all the factors will motivate the students to be more active and engaged.
