Lesson planning is important for teachers as it keeps the teacher to focus on the main objective of the lesson and how they intend to make that possible. It?s also a working document that provides an organised basis for teachers to refer to during lesson so that they may teach in a structured manner. Lastly, lesson plans provide a record of what a class has done and which materials have been used. Apart from having a good lesson plan with all the essential elements discussed in this lesson, as a teacher, we should always be flexible as we are striving to improve our skills and make the class as stimulating and educational as possible. The task sheet with 2 lesson planning exercise was a good practice. It allowed me to put a lot of thoughts in planning a good lesson by utilising variety of activities and methods to ensure that all skills needed has been covered.
