Unit eighteen covers grammar points such as Modals, Phrasal verbs, and Passive voice. modals are used before other verbs to offer meaning. modal auxiliary verbs are also used to express differing levels of formality. Passive voice and it's two uses are explored. For example in the active voice the focus is on the agent and in the passive voice the agent is much less important.unit eighteen also covers relative clauses and breaks them into three categories. The first being the Independent clause , the second being the Dependent clause and the third being Relative clause. Each clause has a specific set of rules which give them their structure. Multi word verbs consisting of a verb plus one or two particles are referred to as Phrasal verbs. These phrasal verbs are further broken down into three categories. Intransitive, Transitive separable and Transitive inseparable.
