In this unit I've learned about phonology, intonation, stress, IPA, articulation.
Phonology is the science that helps us to analyse and classify sounds of a particular language. Intonation is usually recognised like a change of volume.(There are tree main types of intonation in English: rise/fall ; fall/rise; flat). Stress helps us to emphasis the main part of the sentence and form a meaning of it, because in the accordance with the stress put on different words in one sentence the meaning of it (sentence) can be changed. IPA is international Phonetic Alphabet that is used all over the world to teach correct pronunciation. Articulation is science that explains how we pronounce different sounds using our Speech organs.
Pronunciation is very important part of teaching language , there different techniques and methods of doing it, but the approach that is choosen always depends on teacher.
