Unit 7, Teaching New Language is dedicated to three essential elements of Language teaching: teaching/learning new vocabulary, teaching/learning new grammar and teaching/learning language functions. The Unit includes some useful tips on which elements should always be considered when teaching new language and when choosing the vocabulary to introduce and offers some options for the possible lesson structures (Arrow, Boomerang, Patchwork).The unit was a brief overview of the many teaching aids available. The purpose and effectiveness of each was introduced. Various boards,overhead projectors, were some of the visual aids critiqued. The use of Cd's videos and cassette recorders and their appropriate uses was offered. Helpful online resources and use of computers and workbooks was also discussed.Many additional brief training may be needed as there are many models available.
