In this unit, I learned the different forms of the present tense. What is interesting for me as someone who speaks two foreign languages is that tense forms such as present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous don't usually exist in other languages (at least that is the case for French and German). Instead, those languages simply use the present simple. Therefore, the present tense is one of the most difficult tenses for ESL students to learn. The supplementary video for this unit was useful in that it provided me helpful ideas for activities I can do with students to teach them the different present tense forms. For instance, in order to teach the present continuous form, I can show the students a picture of several people doing activities at once and have them say \"He is taking a picture\" or \"She is throwing a boomerang.\" This is also a good way to ingrain pronouns in their heads.
