This unit provides the suggested approaches to teaching English vocabulary, structures and functions and how these might be addressed differently through the ESA methodology. For instance, while structures are level-appropriate, vocabulary is not. Often due to students' occupations, they might be more familiar with highly technical or \"advanced\" vocabulary than they are with simpler vocabulary. On the other hand, they speak with very simple structures and have difficulty with the more complicated structures, while using high-level vocabulary. This is why the approaches in this unit are suggested, and depend greatly on knowledge of the students and their situation to choose the most effective teaching style. Even though the unit warns against boring students with predictable lesson plans, I found the grammar lesson examples the most helpful. I often struggle with variety in the types of activities I present to students, and this section was helpful to dictate the structure of classes.
