I learned quite a bit from this lesson. First, I learned how much the teacher's attitude can affect the lesson. In the first video, I wasn't the least bit engaged, and I am a native English speaker. I personally thought the lesson was both boring and unhelpful. I can only imagine what it would be like for somebody learning the language.
I also learned how the ESA method actually works. Up until this point, I only had an intellectual understanding of the method, but I failed to recognize how it could be implemented. By seeing how the different phases build upon one another, I feel more confident in designing my own lesson plan.
Finally, I gained some insight into some potential problems that may arise. In the first video, the teacher was asked the difference between \"can\" and \"could\". Since watching it, I've considered my answers to that very question, and I personally think I could provide a better answer, and give examples of usage. For example, \"could\" is simply the past form of \"can\
