I think that teacher can't work properly without making lesson plans. Lesson planning is a very important thing not only in conducting lessons, but also in teacher's preparation. Lesson plans have some important functions. First of all, when teacher writes a lesson plan, he/she will see what is needed for the lesson (some additional material, technical devices etc.). Teacher will also have a record of the material that students will cover and the skills that students will gain. In a lesson plan teacher also includes timing for each part of the lesson. But! It doesn't mean that teacher needs strictly follow the lesson plan, timing etc. Teacher needs to be flexible. For me the unit was useful in the way that it gave the information of a standard lesson plan (table), cause when I was studying at the university we were writing different lesson plans, not like this one. I think this (standard) lesson plan (from the unit) is better! And this unit also contains some ideas for conducting lessons. Thank you!
