In this unit i learnt about the productive skills: speaking and writting. I think speaking is the most difficult and challenging part to teach, because most of the times, the students are embarrased about speaking in front of the other students, or afraid that someone is going to laugh, etc. This happenes outside the classroom too, when you travel, the hardest part is to start talking, at the beginning you are always waiting until someone speaks for you. Thats why i think is so important to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere in the classroom, and try to make it look fun at all times.
Writting is difficult too. At least in chile we have the same alphabet and the same punctuation rules, so i shouldnt have too many problems with that. The problems begin when students dont have strong foundations about structure or grammar, because in that case is very easy to get them all mixed up. So before you ask them to write something, you have to make sure they know how to use verbs and how to create sentences.
