In this module I've learned that there are a lot of different ways to engage your students and make them interested in your lesson. I hadn't really thought about the structure of a lesson before because I've always been the student. This module helped me realize that structuring the lesson is very important to optimize the learning opportunities for the students. The part about correcting students also helped me a lot because I was wondering how I should approach that in the classroom.There are a variety of English language groups that teachers may be exposed to when teaching English to ESOL learners. Some examples are: beginner learners (these could be adults or children), multi-lingual groups (groups of students from many nationalities), mono-lingual groups (groups of students with the same native language), groups of people learning business English, and individual students which are taught one to one. Each group requires the teacher to use a different skill set.
