Teach English in Lauder - TESOL Courses
This unit was a nice overview of the potential problems I could have when starting out in my ESL career. A big one seems to be problems with listening comprehension when playing a CD for the students. I remember having problems with listening when I was learning foreign languages. I wish that the unit had provided me with more specific tips on how to target listening comprehension problems. The only point I can really remember is that it's helpful to pre-teach difficult vocabulary.I learned that modal auxiliary verbs doesn't change in form and it is a type of verb that is used to indicate modality, that is: likelihood, ability, permission, and obligation. Moreover, in this Unit, I also learned that the Phrasal verbs in English are transitive or intransitive. The transitive phrasal verbs can be separable or inseparable but I have to remember that in the case of intransitive phrasal verbs, the direct object is \"acted upon\" by the verb , and it has no direct object.
