Unit 11 teaches about methods of delivering receptive skills (reading nd listening). Both of the skills are equally important for a language learners. There are two main reasons why students might be interested in reading and listening: for an entertainment and for a purpose. In case of S.Korean schools most of the learners study English for a specific purpose and it is important to understand how to increase the students' level of interest in order to make the lesson more interesting.In this unit, the importance is toward pronunciation techniques and phonology. English language is a phonetic language, therefore it is important to be able to work on individual sounds and syllables, which will improve foreign student's pronunciation. Tongue twisters, modeling sounds using our won mouth, and mouth diagrams are very good tools to explain to foreign students how the sound is stressed and how the airflow helps to find the difference between voiced and unvoiced phonemes.
