The learning from this unit was the importance of not just planning topics to cover but in-depth lesson planning and how to go about it, its importance, and most importantly, provides a format / guide less as to how to go about the process. Thereafter, the unit shows how to creat an ESA lesson using the straight arrow method in order to cover a grammar point - tenses. It was a steep learning cover for me in terms of how everything binds together in order to conduct a class successfully.There are a lot of ways to properly teach students a material. One of the most important subject that I learned is elicitation. No matter what activity you are providing for the classroom, it is important to have each student contribute to the lecture presented as much as possible. I personal do like the examples of activities that were provided in each stage of Engage, Study, and Activity. I will take note of this for future reference when I make my lecture plans for my future classes.
