From this unit I gained more understanding in the importance of receptive skills and how listening and speaking techniques of students can effect the lessons in several ways. Students should be able to develop this skill with time as it will help them in any field in their future. Listening and reading can be for a particular purpose or for certain entertainment. But most important factor is how we are listening to the particular content.There are different teaching groups of adult students of general English.We are likely to come across other forms of teaching which may require slightly different skills.From this unit,I've known more about the specialized groups,such as:beginners,individuals,children,business English/English for Specific Purposes,the monolingual and the multilingual class.I have learned a lot of suggestions of teaching different groups of adult students.
