Phonology is an important part of the learning process. It gives the students the help they need in order to understand the pronunciation of words and newly vocabulary acquired.
Intonations and stresses added to sentences can potentially change the meaning of the latter. Which is why it is important for the students to correctly master that, as they will then be able to understand what native speakers say and they will be able to answer.This unit talks about teaching pronunciation and phonology.This was a difficult unit to grasp at first but i think i got the hang of it tn the end.The unit explained stresses in sentences and also explained the phonetic script and how we make sounds and form words.This can be a major help when teaching English because as a teacher you have to be ready to answer any questions and pronunciation is one of the harder parts of English i think.
