In this unit, I have learned how to create a lesson plan. In creating a lesson plan, I must put the language point which is what I want to teach to the students for the day. I must write down what problems the student or I might run into and plan a solution to those problems. Then I must write down the procedure for the engage, study and activate phases that the class will do for that day and estimate how long each procedure will take.This unit dealt with teaching the receptive skills: reading and listening. What motivates us to read or listen to something can vary from wants to needs. It is important for a teacher to pick topics that will interest the students because if a student knows some information on a given topic, it will be easier to follow and be more engaging. This unit also showed ano example of a patchwork ESA lesson with a biography of Elvis as the topic.
