Unit 11 I found to be short, interesting, helpful and well communicated. I always like it when things are clearly outlined and categorized to make it easier to remember. The four basic skills can be categorized into two groups: receptive (reading and listening) and productive (speaking and writing). It is also good to be reminded not to pre-teach all the unknown vocabulary but to allow some thinking and context to help the students learn.Classroom management has not always been my strongest suit. This unit was encouraging because it affirmed some things that I do well (eye contact, gestures to help get points across), but it also gave some interesting examples that I could try. It was also a good reminder that often times if a student is acting out, it's because of things at home or just boredom (the later being something that hopefully I can improve if it's the problem).
