I have learn in this unit that there are four basic skills in language, i.e. receptive - reading and listening. It depends on the purpose for which language is being constructed, it could be for a purpose or an entertainment.
There are potential problems which must be addressed when reading or listening, some of them are mainly with the language in the text, topic and the tasks the students will perform.
The basic criteria to successful receptive skill lesson were studied and understood.In teaching children, it makes a lot of sense to present materials in more of a fun animated way. Children?s minds not only wonder, but sometimes lack motivation. By making the lessons fun, it helps with motivating them to want to learn. Also, I find it interesting that it suggests for the teacher to be prepared to make fun of themselves. After thinking about it, it does show the students that the teacher is also fallible so students shouldn?t be ashamed to make mistakes as well.
