This unit covered the numerous aids that a teacher can use in the classroom. Although I was familiar with many of these from my own time in school, this unit showed both the advantages and disadvantages of using these techniques in the classroom. I found the websites to be the most helpful as a tool to find new lesson plan ideas and ways to keep the students engaged in the lesson. Through a combination of these techniques and websites, an engaging and productive lesson plan can be formed.Very interesting unit that made me realise how much of this was actually taught in the Australian school curriculum when I was a primary school student. It isn't something I had consciously remembers nor used consciously at any other stage of my life. Interestingly, the familiarity of what I was taught is still in my subconscious and reappeared whilst studying this unit. I enjoyed this unit and now have a better understanding, although basic, of how to teach this area of English language.
