I learnt the basics of different methods of teaching, how to structure a lesson based on ESA (engage, stuady and activate), boomerang and patchwork ESA techniques and about how and when to give students corrections on there errors. this unit has a lot of useful information on the different tools you can put into practice within the classroom and how to best deliver them. I feel like after studying this unit I have a lot more of an idea of how to successfully teach a classroom of students.Age, motivation, and English proficiency will determine how to approach lesson planning. Kids often lack motivation, so fun and games are important to keep them interested. Older business learners will require a varied approach, as some may have chosen to enroll, while others have been required to do so. I learned that it's important to be respectful of older learners' life responsibilities. They have full time jobs and families, so my lessons and expectations must take this into account.
