After going through unit fifteen ,i understood that evaluating students and assessing students is very important to every teacher because through evaluating the teacher the teacher gets to know the level of every student.As i learnt in this unit ,teachers not only evaluate students and progress but also prepare students for some external exams for example TOEFL(Test of English as a foreign language).
More so,i learned that there are different ways to asses students language level that is tutorial,evaluation by students and Tests for example,in test the teacher assesses and know the different levels of the students .Also,placement test as seen in this unit will help me as a teacher on how to assess students in order to know which class to place students following their level of grammar,vocabulary and spoken test to make sure that the students can participate and communicate at his chosen level.
Also,another type of test which learned is the progress test .This test as i have learned is to check the students knowledge and level in reading ,writing,speaking and listening as well as grammar and vocabulary.
