Teacher?s attitude in the classroom impacts greatly on the lesson?s success. Therefore it is very important that teachers have a very positive attitude in the classroom. Simple gestures like smiling to your students make them feel comfortable and free to participate in the lesson. Engaging the students in the lesson activities too is very important. As teachers we should endeavor to learn our student?s names, as this helps us build rapport with our students. Praising our students is something we should always do to encourage them to participate more in our lessons. We should ensure that all students equally participate in the lessons. When giving instructions, we should keep them clear and understandable with examples that you can show to the class. We should give students the opportunity to work in pairs or groups depending on the size of the class, as this will enable them to be actively involved in the lesson. We should refrain from using concepts that are most likely to be difficult for the students to comprehend, and if we must then we should take the trouble to explain while giving examples to the students.
