Tricky! I don't like 15 questions!!! Again I enjoy grammar and refreshing my brain, but as a native speaker, the correctness of speaking and/or writing is not because I remember the rules. I know how to apply the rules. I can find an error in tense usage. The correctness comes more from intuition and how does it sound? How was it written in a text book or novel? How did the news caster or a professional interviewer phrase the sentence or question? I have heard sentences spoken correctly so long and as an educator I just know 99% of the time when a phrase is incorrectly spoken or written. I am wondering how much, how often and how intense will my instruction of grammar be in the ESL class. The video was great. I probably should have watched it twice. Some things I just will not commit to memory unless I do them often. So more than likely, I will create a quick reference sheet of each tense, an example of each type of sentence, and question sentence. The same will be done for my list of activities that go with activating each tense. I am grateful for the constant reminders to increase student talk and decrease teacher talk and can't wait to get back to class to practice it. (Snow storm here in Virginia. No school for 3 days so far.)
