With Video Lesson 1 I wanted to fast forward through it because it was so brutal. I felt sorry for those students. I was so happy to see Mark as his obviously natural teaching persona in Video Lesson 2. What a difference. Common sense however would hopefully let a teacher know that the attitude and methods in Lesson 1 were not acceptable and completely useless for imparting knowledge. As with the last lesson where I did so poorly on the test, I found a couple of these questions also ambiguous. For example, in question 2 I feel that the some of the students were confused, some intimated, some tired and some uninterested. If I had put myself in that class I would be tired and disinterested and perhaps confused but never intimidated. I went with what I thought the majority of the class were which is confused (based on can is the same as could..seriously?) and intimidated based on the 'this is easy' references. But there were a few who looked like they were falling asleep and many looked completely bored and disinterested. From a learning perspective for myself, I enjoyed how Mark prompted for information and work on the board. For example how he separated the class of animals (bird, fish, etc) from the names of animals to use later (parakeet, gibbon, etc.)
