In this lesson I have learned about productive ie speaking and writing, including games. There are reasons why two or more people communicate and hence a teacher should be aware of these factors when preparing a lesson on communication. Accuracy and fluency in a language are of equal importance and a teacher's ESA plan should include both accuracy based activities and fluency based activities and these include controlled activities ( drilling, prompting), guided activities ( model dialogue, guided role-play) and creative communication (free role-play, discussion, information gap, debated, simulation communication games). Student participation should be encouraged by way of pair-work, group work, speaking activities, etc, bearing in mind that students may be reluctant to speak due to lack of confidence, peer intimidation, cultural reasons etc. The difficulty in grasping English language skills may differ depending on students' cultural background and what character their native language is in. If it is Roman alphabets, then it will be easier. Handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation are important factors in writing skills. Using games as an activity is an effective tool in the teaching of EFL.In applying all of the above factors in an ESA study plan, the teacher will be able to effectively teach the English language.
